【摘要】:Duringthistest,insulatingoilinanevacuatedcellissubjectedtoahighvoltagedischargebetweentwoelectrodes.Thedischargegeneratesfreeelectrons.Theseelectronscollidewiththeoilmoleculescausingmanyofthemtobecomeelectronicallyexcited.Someofthesemoleculeslosethisenergyasaquantaoflightemittingfluorescentradiation.Someoftheotherexcitedmoleculesdecomposeintogases,ionizedmoleculesandfreeradicals.Thesechangescanprovideanindicationofthestabilityofoilsundertheconditionsofthistestmethod.Themeasuresofthesechangesaretheincreaseofthepressureinthetestcellandtheincreaseinthedissipationfactorofthetestspecimen.Duringthetest,thegascontentincreasesinthecellandtheconcentrationofchargecarriersincreasesintheoil.1.1Thistestmethodcoversalaboratorytechniquethatmeasuresthestabilityofnew,used,orreclaimedinsulatingoils,similartothosedescribedinSpecificationD3487inthepresenceofacontrolledelectricdischarge.Whensubjectedtothistypeofdischarge,insulatingoilsabsorbenergyandproducegasesaswellasionizedmolecules(chargecarriers).Thequantityofthesedecayproductscanbemeasuredandcanprovideanindicationofthestabilityofoilsundertheconditionsofthistest.1.2Thegasesareretainedinthedischargecellandtheirpressuremeasured.Thechargecarriersremaininthetestspecimen.Thechangeinthedissipationfactorbeforeandafterthedischargeisdetermined.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesstatedinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificcautionarystatementsaregiveninand.
